I’ve temped or interned. I am currently temping and interning. There have been years where my income did not exceed my annual college tuition. I’ve secretly hoped that somebody else would tell me what I’d be really good at and get me a job doing it. I’ve had a nightmare with my boss in it.

Home

I have more roommates than rooms in my apartment. I live at home with my parents. My address changes more often than I buy new towels and sheets. None of my dishes match. In fact, a majority of my glasses are plastic cups with advertisements. I don’t own muffin tins or other advanced bakeware. I don’t vacuum. (Hopefully, your roomie does.) I have the Billy bookshelves from IKEA.

I’ve been set up on more than 6 blind dates in the last 6 months. My boyfriend/girlfriend is also my coworker. My mom often says, “I just met someone who I thought would be perfect for you” or something like that. I’ve been in a LDR (long distance relationship). I sometimes wonder if my ex-boyfriend was gay. He is.

Life

I’ve allowed the garbage to get really, really, full and stinky in the passive-aggressive hope that my roommates will finally take out the trash. I’ve said inappropriate things or vomited in inappropriate places after drinking too much alcohol. I’d rather read pinkisthenewblog.com rather than the Wall Street Journal. I haven’t been to the dentist in over three years. I think buying organic is really important—but there’s no way I can afford it. Sometimes I wonder if I peaked in high school.
